If you'd like to apply for a character, you're in the right place! As of June 24, applications are now always open. Fill out one of the two forms on this page depending on the type of character you're applying for and post it in the comments of this entry. While you fill out your application, here are a few things to keep in mind:

• Please read over the rules and FAQ before you begin to fill out your application—This will save you headaches later!
  
• Check the taken and reserved pages to make sure that your character isn't listed on either (unless you reserved them, naturally).
  
• Please check your application for spelling and grammatical errors. While we're hardly going to reject for a misspelled word or two, a large amount of errors makes us much more likely to reject an application.
  
• Plagiarism is unacceptable. If we find an application has been plagiarized, it will result in immediate rejection and a ban from the game.
  
• You may app ONE character per round, for a total of THREE characters in the game. You may have two characters from the same canon provided they have little or no interaction in canon.
  
• If you're already in the game, all of your current characters must have passed the last AC to apply for a new character. If this is your first character, don't worry about this, of course!
  
• When posting your application, please format the subject line of your first comment in some form of Character Name - Series - Reserved/Unreserved in that order. Do not link to your application.
  
• Original characters are allowed, but their applications are judged to a much higher standard than canon characters. We want to make sure that the character and their world are thought-out and developed. This isn't meant to discourage such characters in the slightest, so all this really means is take care to explain the world your character comes from especially, since all we have to judge them by is what you tell us!
  
• If we ask for a revision, don't worry! Usually we just need clarification on something before we decide on your application. If you are asked for one, you have five days to supply the requested revision.

PERSONALITY:

At her first appearance, Alisa was shown as a perfectionist, if not a total bitch. She singlehandedly turned Kota’s offer to be her friend down right on the spot. Not only that, she also looked down on Lindow, just because he was being way too easygoing on their first mission. One might address that as being strict, but no, she wasn’t being one. She was only being a total self-centered person who only would approve those within her expectations (which was absurdly high), and only handful of people fit the bill. But of course that was totally given though! The protagonist was even already informed about how mentally unstable she was. Alisa was required to attend daily therapy, even. That broken mental of her stemmed from way back, starting when she was in her 8. Yup, an Aragami, a ‘god’ devoured her parents just before her eyes and she was left to her own grand emotional wreck. Not to mention her therapist was actually not a real therapist...

It only got worse when she coincidentally ‘killed’ Lindow. Alisa’s BSOD reached its peak. Only the magical plot power of a New-Type a.k.a. Resonance was able to bring her out of her nightmare. Yet, however, after that point, Alisa’s eyes began to open. She started her first step to turn into a better person. The bossy and arrogant attitude of her faded, changed by a very low self-esteem, which gradually got better and better thanks to the helping hand of her leader.

And there! Now we have the current Alisa Illichina Amiella.

At that point, Alisa is a person of contrasts. Many, many contrasts. After she’s over her guilt trip, she’s usually in a good mood, and it’s an active person by default; Alisa likes to do things, move around, and probably exercises regularly; you don’t get to be a proficient God Eater by just sitting around after all. Despite being a rather peculiar tomboy on her own right, she is shown to be particularly well versed on a number of “girly” things, mostly shown in her relationship with Shio (or to some extend, with Sakuya as well). Much to everyone’s surprise, Alisa’s shown to be rather interested in making clothes for the Aragami girl, when her own choice of clothing is actually… rather questionable. From that attitude toward Shio, though, we can also tell what kind of compassion actually lies inside of Alisa. The sisterly, if not motherly streak inside her do exist.

Clearly, it could be said that in a way, Alisa is a very emotional person. She doesn’t have much of a filter when it comes to displaying her emotions, and things don’t affect her in a half-baked way; if it bothers her, then it bothers her all the way, and if it saddens her, the same. Just see how bad she takes thing when she killed Lindow! She usually tries to cover this by giving off a cool and tough exterior, but for those that know her it’s particularly easy to pierce that veil, much to her chagrin at times. If she is angry and/or holding a grudge against someone, she will treat them rather coldly, using short sentences, and avoiding as much conversation and contact with them as she can. She also takes pride on being a New-Type, and a Gods Eater, and thus being all girly and delicate doesn’t really go with her line of work, but don’t be fooled; Alisa is as feminine as any other young woman of her age, she just shows it a lot less often, and usually when people isn’t paying her attention.

Alisa has a very special place in her heart for those that accept and reassure her confidence; in a way, her friends are her strength, and she’ll be capable of acting as a functional human being as long as they are alright. While she has the skills to be a leader, Alisa prefers to be a follower due to her confidence, but that doesn’t mean she’s just going to trust anyone willing to lead; getting to know her on a more personal level will take time. While no stranger to feeling attraction towards the other gender, Alisa is very reserved on this department, mostly because she tends to underestimate herself, thinking men would only be interested on her because of her looks rather than her as a person. The fact that she’s almost always portrayed to harbor a deep crush for the protagonist in side materials (the Summer Wars manga, the 2nd Break manga, the Knocking on Heaven’s Door novel) doesn’t help as well. That, and because she's a Tsundere Type A if it isn't obvious enough.

In the end, Alisa’s a very strong-willed person, along with being something of a tomboy due to her job as someone who slays gods for her breakfast, even though her sweet trait does exist somewhere inside. It’s just that it will require time before she’s going to open up fully to people.

PROJECTED CLASS: Warrior to Paladin. Without a doubt, Alisa’s not going to waste her swordsmanship, while still keeping her title as the best healer in the canon. Not to mention that the Paladin use greatswords in their battles, just like how every God Eater wields those enormous God Arcs to cut monsters on their paths. Coincidentally, Alexander Ametri, the Paladin guildmaster, is stubborn yet well-meaning, just like Alisa herself.

OTHER: So every God Eater in her canon (just like herself), is actually enhanced through their ‘Oracle Cells’, which helps them to have an inhuman regeneration as well as the strength to even lift a huge God Arc with one arm. This, however, comes in case-to-case basis, because every God Eater can only wield one God Arc in particular, or else the God Arc will automatically devour them (This doesn’t apply to the protagonist but ssh, plot power).

Just for clarification, is it possible for Alisa to keep her body enhanced by the Oracle Cells although it’s toned down to the point where it only helps her to lift her God Arc? Since I want to bring her here with her God Arc. Once again, though, her God Arc will be toned down as well where it will lose its function to turn into a gun and a shield, only working as a big sword. Other people might be able to still lift it without anything bad happened to them, of course!

[A young woman's voice is heard, but the jewelry's camera is still directed at the floor, shaking mildly.]

Let's see, is this how it... Ah, there we go.

[The camera tilts to show a girl with light chocolate hair. She smiles somewhat anxiously, before starting to speak.]

Ah... Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Alisa, Alisa Illichina Amiella. I arrived in this place a few days ago, presumably like most of everyone here. I know most of you are likely still confused and attempting to adjust to this strange situation. However, I believe it's important that we all keep our calm and try to cope the best we can.

[This time, the camera shifts a bit to Alisa’s side, in which her God Arc seems to rest by.]

I can still use my weapon, and while it seems to lose some of its function, I'll gladly offer my aid to whoever needs it. If you need a helping hand somehow, please don't hesitate to call for me.

[Her gaze moves to the ground, as she absentmindedly bites her bottom lip for a moment. Then, she continues addressing the communicator.]

Furthermore, I'd like to ask that you help me keep an eye out for my companions. Their names are Yuu Kannagi and Soma. [No, she was about to say his full name, but if Soma is somehow here indeed, he’s not going to be pleased.] Both of them are just a little older than me. Soma has this cold and brooding look by his face while Yuu is somewhat gentle. [N-not that she’s biasing toward the latter! Not at all!]

Kota as well, I suppose... [Alisa sighs a little at the mention of his name.] He's hard to miss, as he has a very... outgoing personality. Loud, even. [A small pause.] I could list more people, but these three are the ones I was with before I was brought here. Thank you in advance.

[Alisa bows in gratitude first before cutting off the feed.]

THIRD PERSON SAMPLE:

It wasn't really hard adjusting to the environment, the young girl thought. It was not that much technologically advanced compared to the era that she was originally in, and while she had to take longer to learn to adapt to the area when she suddenly ended up in this strange place, she eventually mastered it. There was no NORN or any gadgets for communication and information, only this single magical jewelry that she could use for both. Yet again, she managed to master it.

Just like this particular sword in her hand.

This huge sword was not a God Arc, not even remotely close to it. Unlike her tools of war that could transform to a gun whenever she wished, this sword couldn’t. This was just your average, run-of-the-mill greatsword. There was not even a single superiority compared to a God Arc. Hell, this thing required slices of her strength before she could actually lift it, even.

But in the end, this sword was the only thing she had for her surviving asset here. Not to mention those monsters in the castle was no less ferocious than those Aragamis. They might be smaller in appearance and less intimidating than those beasts in her own world, but Alisa knew better than to judge a book by its cover. Underestimating her enemies would not bring her anywhere.

Fighting them by herself, of course, was never an option as well. Hence why, she had asked another three people to accompany her in this quest to reduce the chance of failing this one mission. Alisa, after all, could work her part better when she was in a team. She always knew the exact time to shoot her healing bullets, when to use destructive bullets, or when to switch to melee. She was always the versatile fighter, just like her leader and presumably, other New-Types back there.

“Are you ready to go?”

When one of her teammates questioned her, Alisa’s calm azure eyes fell upon him before she gracefully made a tiny nod as a confirmation to that question. After the gesture of confirmation had been traded, her teammates quickly started their pace to storm the next floor of the Castle Dyspros. Alisa herself shifted her red stripped beret for a bit as she followed them, protecting their backs while at it.

Her oath would not falter even if this place, she would not let her friends got hurt anymore.
