RULES

RULES
remember common courtesy
Be respectful to other players! Treat others as you would want them to treat you. This should go without saying. We aim for a positive environment for all players, so please contact a mod if someone is making you uncomfortable. Harassment or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.

ic is not equal to ooc
Do not blur the lines between fiction and reality! Using a character to attack or make another player uncomfortable will not be tolerated.

no godmodding/infomodding
Roleplaying is a hobby that involves writing with other people, so communication is key. If you are unsure about something, ask a player about it. Never go ahead and assume without the other player's permission. We recommend putting a permissions post in your character's journal. Not sure what to put? A form you can fill out is available here.

one warning will be given for inappropriate behavior
If another infraction occurs, the player will be banned from the game. If the action is severe enough, in some cases there will be no warning and a player will be immediately banned.

rate and lock your posts appropriately and place trigger warnings when needed
Be mindful of other players—especially those who are underage. If someone requests you put something behind a cut, please do so. If a post or log contains sexual, grotesque or violent content, please note it in your post and place it behind a cut.

tag your posts
Tag your posts in the following format: c: givenname surname. When replying to someone else’s post, you must also tag it with your character’s tag. Logs must be tagged with the names of all characters participating.

comment on the how’s my driving post
Game-wide How’s My Driving or HMD meme posts are put up on the Dyspros OOC community every month. Posting to this meme is mandatory; a link to your thread is required for activity check.

meet activity requirements on time
Activity check or AC starts on the last Saturday of every month and lasts for a week. Characters who got accepted during the same month as the activity check only have to make 10 comments across 2 posts for that month. For the following months, however, each character in the game has to make 15 comments across 3 posts per month. A strike policy is in place: if a character fails to meet AC for one month, they will earn a strike and need to pass next month’s AC to erase it. Characters who fail to meet AC twice in a row get booted from the game.

character limits
A player may reserve 1 character and apply for 1 character per month. Each player may only have a maximum of 3 characters in the game.

be in character
We won't be strictly monitoring this, but when playing in the game, try to be as in character as possible! Writing someone out of character may be fun for you, but it might not be as enjoyable for your castmates and the game at large.
have fun!
