Some things never changed. Even if he was in a world so foreign that he was unable to place it anywhere in his recollection of civilizations throughout history. A castle of that size and trees so huge that he had never thought possible was the first thing that greeted him when he stepped out of the castle's lobby when he first arrived. He knew at that moment that wherever he was, he was no longer where he should be. He wasn't in the digital space of Veda and neither was this a stimulation created by the quantum computer. But none of the discrepancy in his existence or this world changed who he was. So long as there was a reason for him being here, he would find it and complete it. Perhaps then, he would be able to return to where he truly belonged.

Time had passed long enough for him to attempt integrating into the society of Goldvale and yet he still feel disconnected from all that was happening around them. A society so archaic that he found to be unnecessarily inconvenient. Weapons that were no longer used in the modern society because of various reasons were commonly equipped and perfected by their wielder here. Like the lance and shield he was polishing in the comfort of his room at the Scarlett Dragons. Some day, he too, like everyone here would be able to wield them with ease.

However, none of that were more disturbing than to discover the use of magic, so prevalent in this society that he could not wrapped his mind around them. It was as if he had walked into the world of fairy tales written to warn children of the danger of the world. A thing that should have remained in the confine of stories and fantasy. But his thought was disturbed when the door opened to another Knight after a brief knock. Putting down the lance and polisher, he stood up and salute the Knight who was of higher rank than himself.

"Be at ease. You're wanted at the Guilmaster's office. Something about the thief you caught yesterday."

He raised a curious brow at that and drop the salute. "Do you know what is it about?" Arresting thieves and gamblers was a common duty for all members of the guild. And while they were normally dealt with by the higher ranking officers, he wondered why he, a newcomer was being called in about it. Did he caught someone suspicious of other crime? If he did, he wasn't aware of it, her face did not matched any on the wanted posters last he checked.

"I have no idea, they were pretty tight lipped about it. But I did heard the loots she had worth quite a bit. Must have stolen from the rich, that one. Best make haste and head over the office, least the Guildmaster will be displeased."

That made her another of one of those self-proclaimed hero of the people, stealing from the rich for the poor. But what caught his attention was the Guildmaster's involvement in the case. He nodded to the Knight and promptly headed to the bathroom to clean up and followed the Knight out to the Guildmaster's office.
