FIRST PERSON SAMPLE: [For a while Latvia just stares at the wisps of smoke in front of him before he finally starts to speak]

Um… I’m sorry. I suppose this is all just a little strange to me. Can you hear me alright?

[He waits a few moments for a response but it doesn’t seem to come]

Testing.

Testing, one, two. Is it a bad signal? I’m sorry, I’m bad with modern technology as it is. Can you hear me now? Oh! That’s better.

I don’t mean to trouble you but I heard you were selling books on the origins of Reis Alurelia. I know they’re quite expensive but I was wondering if we could work something out. I do have a few things that I've collected recently, apparently they’re quite rare.

Would you like to see them for yourself?

THIRD PERSON SAMPLE He twirled the pen idly in his fingers as he tilted his chair back, staring up at the ceiling of his room. Writing a book had seemed like a good distraction at the time but actually following through on the action was another story. There were already books on plants and their properties, potions they were good for, which ones were poisonous and so on and so forth, so why was he sat here writing all that out again? Granted, if he could compile several tomes worth of information into one book it would be hugely convenient but less books meant less money.

With a heavy sigh Latvia lurched forward, the chair legs hitting the floor with a clatter. The texts strewn about in front of him seemed to meld together and the outlines of the diagrams flattened out into familiar and uninteresting shapes. He readjusted his robes and got

to his feet. Fresh air might help his concentration and without even bothering to clear up he left the room and stumbled out into the gentle sunshine.

Even something as simple as going outside seemed slightly thrilling, every time he stepped through the doorway it was like stepping out into a fantasy novel. Dusty robes and rusted armour as well as exquisitely crafted uniforms and newly forged swords bustled about with the people in the crowds. Seeing such a blend of the old and the new might have reminded him of home if it wasn’t all so unusual. Almost instinctively he started to make his way towards the Ironwall district. If he was having trouble with his work then surely one of the druids would be able to help him. Latvia had always been rather fond of their powers with his own love of nature and he couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. But even if he just came to discuss his book they might end up roping him in with a mission.

An anxious sort of excitement started to bubble up inside him.
